Happy Gotcha Day Duncan!
Meet DUNCAN! 6 year old, very calm sweet boy . Attached to people and dog friendly. He was surrendered to us by his family and he still does not understand why. His heart is slowly mending and he is ready to find a permanent family to call his own. Duncan gets very attached to people and will make his new owner very happy.
UPDATE FROM FOSTER FAMILY: Duncan is doing very well. His broken heart is mending and he’s beginning to trust again. Although, he was an outside dog with his previous family, he obviously spent time with them indoors as well. Duncan has needed quite a bit of reassurance that he is loved and welcome in the house — it took quite a bit of effort to get him to go up and down the stairs (I suspect he wasn’t allowed to do so in his previous home). He is sweet-natured and great with kids and other dogs. He enjoys an occasional round of fetch outside, a walk around the neighborhood, and chomping at the water coming out of the hose. Duncan is happiest when he is with people and just wants to make his people happy.
Please tell me size, weight, height of Duncan…

Jane, he is large!! Not sure on heigh, but he is a big boy….and weighs in at 93 pounds!!! 🙂

Where is Duncan located? We are in Hillsborough, nc. We have 2 dachshunds who lost their lab buddy a couple of years back. Would love to adopt and older lab to make our home complete again.
Jolene, he is in the Atlanta, GA area. We do adopt out of state, but you must be willing to drive in and meet him so that we can make sure it is a good fit for everyone. 🙂

I am so happy that Duncan found a great family. We looked at him and knew we could not get to Atlanta with our schedules from Myrtle Beach for several more weeks. After some discussion, Ben and I opted to see if Duncan would get adopted at your event. So excited for all. We will continue to search for an older lab and have some rescue friends locally keeping their eyes open for a similar surrender. Duncan just made me smile!
