 SAD, SAD DAY FOR LFS 
Update 10/08: While rescue has its ups and downs, some days are worse than others. We recently found out that one of our sweetest dogs, Freya, who has been with LFS for about a year now, has terminal cancer. To make matters worse, she was only given about 3-4 more months to live.
LFS is committed to giving each dog that comes through the program the absolute best care possible. Freya will remain in her foster home, now as a forever home, and we will do everything in our power to keep her comfortable until the time comes and she lets us know she’s ready.
LFS NOW ASKS FOR YOUR HELP. Freya’s diagnostics and care have added up recently…  PLEASE PLEASE, if you are able, consider donating to Freya’s care. Everyone at LFS, Freya, and her foster/forever family would be eternally grateful.

FOSTER UPDATE: Meet FREYA!Super calm and sweet 11-12 years old female, who was rescued from a neglect situation. She knows sit and loves her toys.  Freya may be a senior but she looks and act like a young dog. Honestly Freya is the ideal dog: she likes her walks but she is not overly cray, she gets a long with dog she has ever met even the pushy ones, small or big. She is very friendly with all the neighbors and is very gentle with little children.  Freya loves to be around people and always wants to be where the action is.  We have fostered lots of dogs with LFS over the past two plus years and Freya is by far the sweetest one we have had.

FREYA UPDATE!! Sweet, wonderful, easy, beautiful If you are looking for the ‘perfect’ dog, look no further! She is completely trained, loves to be with her family, and get along well with other dogs. She is technically a senior dog at 11 years old, but she has A LOT of living to do! Senior dogs are the best!

FOSTER UPDATE: 10/03/14 Freya enjoying the great fall weather. Still waiting for her forever home. Loves to be around people and other dogs.

    I would be happy to adopt Freya! I have a 13 yo lab that had cancer when I adopted him 3 years ago. I adore George and have never once regretted saving him! Feel free to contact me!

    Any update on Freya? Is she still being fostered or has she found a special home?

      She is still being fostered. I am cannot understand why she has not been snatched yet. She is the easiest, funnest dog.

    I lost my black lab to cancer 2 months ago. I am interested in Freya but am leaving on vacation tomorrow so will check back when i return the beginning of May. My last 2 dogs were pet therapy dogs so that is what I am looking for along with a sweet companion.

    Hello, I do think your blog could very well
    be having browser compatibility problems. As I look at your internet site in Safari, it looks fine but once opening in I.E.,
