[VIDEO]Unparalleled Loyalty – The Black Lab that would not leave.

It is not hard to question the loyalty of dogs. As Lab owners, it is not hard to recognize the unparalleled loyalty of Labrador Retrievers.

Loyal Black Lab Braves Traffic to Stay By Fatally Wounded Friend’s Side

After her canine companion was run over by a car on Hacienda Boulevard in La Puente, California, a 2-year-old black Lab braved oncoming traffic and other hazards to stay by their side.

Officials with the Department of Animal Care and Control for Los Angeles County responded to reports Wednesday morning of two dogs, one motionless, spotted in the middle of Hacienda Boulevard in the 1200 block north of Fairgrove Avenue.

Upon arrival it was determined that one of the dogs had died after suffering extensive head trauma. The other dog, who refused to leave her friend’s side, appeared unharmed. Traffic cones had been placed near the animals to alert motorists.

Grace, as she has since been named by her DACC caretakers, was taken to a local animal shelter, where “the staff just showered her with admiration and love,” according to DACC spokesman Aaron Reyes.

She has yet to be claimed, and has no tag or microchip, so the process has begun to find Grace a new home. If you are interested in adopting Grace, you are cordially invited to contact the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center at (626) 962-3577. Her impound number is A4416170.

The black lab is fine and is available for adoption. The golden lab did die as a result of the injuries.

Gosh, how I would love to have Grace, but I live in Ga. I wonder how much it would cost to have her shipped to me?? Also, I am 71 yrs. old and have a cat. I live in the country but do not have a fenced in yard, although I would be willing to fence in an area for her.I could take her for daily walks and rides in my car. She would sleep in my house and go outside whenever she wantedl

This dog shouldn’t spend a day in a shelter – if people in CA can’t appreciate her bravery & loyalty, well, it’s no wonder I would never live in CA.
