Happy Gotcha Day! Mr Kiro is one of the cutest puppy you will ever see. He is 5 months old. He was found and turned in to animal control. By the time he arrived to us, the poor guy had the worse upper respiratory infection and pneumonia so he spent 10 days in isolation at the vet. His spirit stayed high the entire time and he was always ready to wag and give a kiss to anyone who came to visit. Kiro is finally better and on his way to a foster home. I bet he can’t wait to run around in the grass. Kiro will most likely be not more than 40 pounds so he is the ideal dog for someone looking for a smaller lab.
UPDATE FROM FOSTER DAD: You know how when you first take in a new foster, how it takes a day or two for them to feel safe and let their real personality shine through. Well that didn’t happen with Kiro because he was just himself right from the start. You might expect that with everything he has gone through that he would be a bit timid and reserved – not!! He is such a happy boy – very curious and loves to be around other dogs and people – in fact he follows us everywhere. The real change in him is that he has discovered the joy of the belly rub. He’ll stay there for as long as you want to continue with his big eyes looking at you just saying ‘thank you’. He is an active pup – loves running with his foster sisters, chasing balls and playing with his new best friend, Mr Tiger, a toy he personally picked out at the pet store. Kiro & Mr Tiger are inseparable. Sooo cute. The best forever home would be a family that has kids and/or another dog or two to play with. He’s really smart (we are working on sit) and has had zero accidents in the house & of course loves treats and Mr Tiger. He is semi-crate trained. He doesn’t mind going in but will complain for about 15 minutes if the door is closed. But then he settles down. Mr Kiro is going to make a wonderful companion to some lucky family!
