MEET JERICHO, a good boy who found himself in need of a forever home through no fault of his own. Jericho is about eight years old. He is housebroken, crate trained, and he knows sit. His owner was in the military and was deployed. He left Jericho with his parents in Tuscaloosa, Al. The parents had to move into a retirement home and could not take Jericho with them. Jericho was rescued by a friend of a Lab Friends volunteer. He is in real estate and handled the sale of Jericho’s family’s home. Jericho is very sweet. He has tried to climb into my bed at night, as well as my lap when I am sitting at the computer. Jericho was able to jump unassisted into the back of my Jeep. He loves affection of any kind. Even though he is eight, he still has a lot of energy and love to give.Jericho is not fond of cats, however.

Foster update 11/06/2019: Jericho is settling in very nicely. He is housebroken and knows sit. He sleeps on a blanket next to my bed. He goes in his crate during the day. It is not his favorite place, but we will go inside. I have had him for about a month, so I have been leaving him out of the crate when I am gone for short periods of time. So far no problems with the other dogs or anything in the house. He loves belly rubs and scratches behind the ears. I have him on a bit of a diet until he loses a few pounds. He wants to be close to me at all times. He is very sweet. At his last home he did not get a lot of attention, so he loves attention and affection. Jericho is a very good boy that loves to run around the yard now that the weather is cooler. He is a little older, but he still has a lot of love to give to a forever family.
