Happy Gotcha Day Barney!
MEET BARNEY!! This handsome man is about 2-3 years old and the newest member of LFS. Barney was found as a stray a couple months ago, but sadly when his owners were found, they decided they didn’t want him anymore. Now Barney is looking for a second chance in a forever home that won’t abandon him again. Barney is a super sweet, happy guy. He is energetic but not crazy by any means, and he seems to know a couple commands already, though he could use a refresher course in obedience training. Barney walks pretty well on the leash with some correction, and he does pull a bit when excited, so we’re working on it, but he’s doing great. Barney seems to love to swim and decided to hop right into the pool at the vet’s office for a couple leisurely laps. Barney does well with other dogs and seems to be okay with dog savvy cats. He was calm with a very brave cat who walked right up to him and rubbed on him, but he seemed to want to play/chase the cat that ran. With that said, he might accidentally hurt a cat that is afraid, so he’d do better with calm, brave cats that don’t really care. Barney has been great with all people.
