MEET GINGER! This sweet 2 year old girl just arrived! She is 50 pounds and extremely happy to meet everyone that comes in the door. A typical lab for a fabulous caring family.
UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM: Ginger is doing great. She is super sweet. She is currently in a foster home with Autumn and the two of them look super cute together. They are both small, sweet and laid back. Ginger is very sensitive and she is looking for a home that can give her a lot of love.
Please let us know if you have any questions about Ginger. Check back here for answers or check out our LFS Facebook page for updates and photos at:

I am interested in Gingers background story. What was her situation before she was rescued and is she potty trained? I have a seven yr old son and twin girls that are almost 2 yrs old, is she good with kids? Thank you!
Hi Carrie! Let me check with her foster and get back to you. In the meantime, please click on our Adopt picture and fill out our adoption application if you haven’t already.
Thanks so very much for your interest in adopting!!
Christie
Carrie, Ginger was rescued as a stray in South Georgia. She is completely house trained and is great with other dogs. She is in a foster home without kids, so we don’t know about kids quite yet. 🙂
Thanks again,
Christie
Is Ginger still available for adoption? Where are you located?
Marcia,
Let me find out for you! All LFS dogs are in foster homes in the Atlanta, GA area.
Thanks,
Christie
Marcia,
She does have an appointment, but please check out our other wonderful available dogs! 🙂
looking for a lab for a neighbor’s little girl. she’s 10 and depends on crutches. do have anyone in the macon area fostering any of the labs?
Hi Amanda!
We do not have fosters in the Macon area.
All of our dogs are in homes in the Atlanta area. If driving here for one of our adoption days won’t work for them….try this great organization:

They are in Vidalia…so still a distance from you, but another option. 🙂
Thanks so much,
Christie
Is Ginger still up for adoption? We adopted a lab a few weeks ago from our local Animal Controp. She was sick and had to be put to sleep. We would really like to adopt a lab to givr our hearts to for our Shelby who passed and welcome a lab to be with our family forever. I have an outdoor cat and a chiweenie plus a five year old. 🙂
Amanda, Ginger is still available right now but she has a lot of interested so she may get adopted quickly. What did the dog you adopt died of? You can click on the picture that says “adopt” if you want to start the process to adopt a dog from us. If Ginger is adopted we can help you find another dog that fits your home.
