FOSTER LATEST UPDATE: Toddy is doing great in her foster home. She is recovered from surgery and will be going back to the vet in the coming week to check on her progress. She is an active young lab mix, who loves to play with her furry foster siblings. Toddy is also content to play with a toy by herself when her doggie friends are too tired to play with her, as long as she can keep them in view. She is house broken with access to a dog door, crate trained, and knows how to sit on command. She has also not tried to chew anything up in the house besides dog toys. Toddy can be a little mischevious at times, so she will need a home in which she can have some guidance as to what is and what is not okay. For example, if she becomes bored and is given the opportunity when foster mom isn’t looking, Toddy likes to try to dig in the pinestraw and dirt in the backyard. This being said, Toddy responds well to correction and the word “no.” Toddy has also become more comfortable around people, not just dogs. She now willingly jumps up on the couch or bed to cuddle/sleep with you and comes when called, for the most part. Toddy is very food motivated, so further socialization and training should not be too difficult.

Toddy would do best in a home with another dog who likes to play and a home in which her owners will give her guidance/structure. She is a wonderful silly pup looking for her forever home!
