Meet LOVEY. Lovey is an awesome 9 year old girl who acts much younger than her age. Her story is a sad one. Her loving owners had to move to an assisted living home where they could not take her along, so they reached out to LFS to find her a happy home.
Lovey is happy to hang out with her people and go on walks. She is used to staying at home all day alone so she could be an easy dog for a family that works full time. She knows her basic tricks and takes treats nicely! She really likes her walks and is great on the leash. No pulling towards other dogs and seems to ignore them completely if they’re on the other side of the street. Sleeps in the crate fine. Would be a really easy dog for first time dog owners who don’t plan on taking her to dog parks or around other dogs.
Foster Update 04/12: Lovey is getting along really well with her foster brother. They sleep on beds right next to each other. She LOVES her walks and knows which compartment in the bench has her leash and she’ll open it when she wants to go for a walk. It is adorable! She really is an easy dog…she goes in the crate when you ask her to, but she’s completely fine left unattended with the run of the house when we’re not home. She hasn’t chewed on anything or had any accidents. Check out her video where she’s showing off her “paw” trick.
Foster Update 03/04: Lovey is living in a foster home with a submissive dog and has been learning how to get along. She could go to a home with another dog, but it will depend on their personalities and if the owner is willing to give Lovey a chance to adjust.
Hi, Do you know the other breed in Lovey?
How much does she weigh?
Hi JoAnne,
Lovey weighs about 60 pounds. Because our dogs are rescues we don’t know exactly what breeds they are mixed with. If you have any other questions please let us know.
Thanks!
