Meet ROY!!! Roy is an incredibly handsome 1-2 year old boy. He is super fun and so happy to be out of the shelter! Roy is a smart, eager to please boy who had been picked to go into a training program as a working dog for a government agency, but unfortunately tested heartworm positive so they were unable to keep him. Roy is almost done with his heartworm treatment, only a couple weeks left! He has done so well so far.
Foster Update 06/16: Roy is a very sweet young man. Roy LOVES to be near people and after he calms down from the excitement of seeing someone, he usually just lays next to them and naps. Roy knows sit and will go in his crate with a little encouragement. Roy is a lover and is really good around other dogs. He would make a great addition to any family! Roy is heartworm positive and will be done with treatment in the coming weeks. Due to the treatment, Roy has to stay calm, so he needs extra snuggles. He’s not complaining!
Please let us know when he is available for adoption. We have 4 chihuahuas and our baby girl who weights in at 96lbs (lab) at 3 yrs old. We are looking for a play companion for her. She loves to go swimming and play with her toys. Not looking to breed or Sandy is spayed.
I might be interested. If he qualified for government work he’d surely be a great service dog candidate for a disabled Veteran. Please, let me know if he is available?
Roy is available but must complete HW treatment. Please email labfriendinfo@gmail.com for more details.
