Happy Gotcha Day Jasper!
MEET JASPER!!! Jasper is a super cute 10-11 month old lab/beagle mix. He weighs 32lbs and we don’t anticipate that he’ll be getting any bigger so he’d be perfect for someone looking for a smaller dog. He has the best little personality – he wants to be friends with everyone he meets! Jasper is getting vetted and will be getting neutered in the coming days – then he’ll be heading off to his foster home. Foster update 10/11/17: It’s always fun to see a new foster’s real personality blossom after a few days of ‘freedom’. Poor little Jasper went from an owner surrender to a scary shelter to a strange vet’s office (where he had ‘the’ operation) to having to wear that cone to a foster home – all in less than a week. He fit right in at his foster home almost immediately – ok he was really enamored by his foster sister who had to teach him the rules of the house that first day. Now a few days later, we can now see his amazing personality. For the record, Jasper is house broken, gets along well with everyone – humans and canine alike, has no problems spending time in his crate & LOVES tennis balls – especially the ones that squeak. But most of all, while he loves to play (and run – but he can’t do that too much until he heals from ‘the’ operation) he really loves his human cuddle time.
It is so much fun watching him explore his new digs. We think he has a bit of Beagle or hound in him because he really likes following the trail of an scent.
Jasper isn’t going to be big – he’s around 30 pounds now. But what he lacks in size, he more than makes up for with his personality.
