Happy Gotcha Day Spencer!

MEET SPENCER!! Spencer is a beautiful, purebred, 1 year old chocolate Labrador who just came to LFS. Unfortunately his previous owner fell ill and could no longer care for him, so he is now looking for a forever home. Spencer is a high energy dog who will need an active family that can give him plenty of exercise. He is a bigger boy at around 75-80 pounds. He knows some commands already (with hand signals too) and is housetrained. Spencer is a typical lab and loves playing ball, fetching frisbees, swimming, hiking, riding in the car, playing “find it” with treats around the house, and chewing on bones. He LOVES people and other dogs. Spencer does get excited and pulls on the leash, so his adoptive family would need to be willing to work on it with him. He does well with a gentle leader.

His previous owner said Spencer is content to just play with his toys during “downtime” and like a typical Lab, follows you everywhere. He prefers to know where you are at all times; he can be outside in the yard and come running back in to check on you, and then will go back out. He loves stuffed toys, especially large ones that squeak. He will squeak them repeatedly and howl with joy!
