Happy Gotcha Day Elwood!
MEET ELWOOD!! Elwood is a super cute, 6-7 month old black lab mix. He is on the smaller side at around 36 pounds, but he came to us very skinny, so we are working on getting some more weight onto him. Unfortunately Elwood hasn’t had the easiest start to life. We think he was hit by a car at some point, as he limped on his back legs when we first got him and had scratches on his face like he had slid across the road ☹️ We’ve taken X-rays and haven’t found anything broken or dislocated, so we think he was just bruised and sore. After a few days and some pain medicine, Elwood is doing much better now and is walking without limping. Elwood is a total sweetheart! He loves cuddles and just wants to be near you. He likes to run after tennis balls and will let you take them out of his mouth when he brings them back. He walks pretty well on the leash, knows sit, and appears crate trained. Those adorable big ears of his perk up when he hears something exciting and you can’t help but just smile.
