Happy Gotcha Day Beauty!

MEET BEAUTY!! This sweet girl’s name couldn’t be more true; she’s absolutely beautiful!! We were contacted after Beauty was sadly dropped off at the shelter right after Christmas. Even though we see it all the time, I still can’t understand how anyone could do that to a loyal companion, especially to a senior dog. We estimate Beauty to be around 8-10 years old. She’s a bigger girl at around 75 pounds, but she is oh so sweet. Beauty knows some commands and rode well in the car on her freedom ride. She enjoyed looking out the window at the passing cars and scenery. Beauty is understandably a little nervous and confused right now, but we hope that she will come out of her shell and become more comfortable now that she’s going to a foster home where she’ll have some time to adjust. Beauty seems to get along with other dogs and has been friendly with all people she’s met so far. She got some much needed TLC at the vet’s office and is on her way to a new life. Beauty deserves a forever home where she can live out the rest of her golden years and never have to worry about ending up at the shelter again.

UPDATE 1/16/19!! This amazing girl has the most beautiful dark chocolate coat ever. It’s so soft too, you just want to pet her all day! Beauty has been doing great in her foster home and gets along well with all her doggie foster brothers and sisters. She was calm and very well behaved at our adoption event this past weekend, taking everything in stride. Her foster dad reports that she is housebroken and knows some commands. Beauty is a big, tall girl, but she is as gentle as ever. She walks well on the leash and is glad to just stand there for you to pet her. She was around kids at the adoption event and did great. Beauty may be a senior, but she’s got a lot of life left to live and lots of love to give!! She would be the perfect addition to any family looking for a mellow, well-mannered companion.
