Low Rider - Adopted 04/27/19 - Labrador Friends

Happy gotcha day, Low Rider!

MEET LOW RIDER!! We call this handsome man Rider, and he’s the newest addition to LFS. Rider is about 4-5 years old, great with kids, other dogs, and all kinds of people. He’s got stubby legs, almost like a Basset hound, but the personality of a lab. Rider loves attention and cuddles! He is a delightful boy who just wants to please. His foster mom says he’s the sweetest little boy, a little playful but still a little timid. He’s still figuring out all the sights and sounds of the house and neighborhood, but once you hit the couch- he’s all good! He’s not had any accidents (housetrained!), no chewing, no crating needed. But he will absolutely need a family that snuggles with their dog and lets them sleep on the furniture and in the bed. I think he would be devastated otherwise. Foster update 04/11/19: Rider is so excited to come to his first adoption day this Saturday! He’s really getting comfortable in his foster home and wants you to know a few things-

– He loooooves people! He gets very attached to his person and wants to be very close to him/her, but he also loves people he meets out and about or coming to the house!

– He gets very excited and could use a little work on doggy manners. Nothing too terrible, but he’s a jumper when he meets new friends and he’s a puller when he sees something interesting on a walk!

– Besides those minor issues, he’s perfect! He doesn’t chew anything he’s not supposed to, hasn’t had any accidents in the house, and doesn’t need to be crated when left home alone!

– He will absolutely, 100 percent, need a family that allows their pets to cuddle with them on the furniture. He loves to snuggle while you watch tv together and cuddle in bed when it’s time to sleep. It would devastate him to be in a home that doesn’t allow this.
