Happy Gotcha Day Terra!

 

 

MEET TERRA!! This adorable girl is one of the newest additions to LFS, along with her siblings Chess and Heather. Terra is about 9-10 months old and full of love. She wears her heart on her nose (literally, the black of her nose is heart shaped!) and once you give her a chance to warm up to you, she is quite the cuddle bug. Like Heather, Terra is a little shy at first and scared of loud noises and sudden movements, but if you give her a chance to get hear bearings, she starts to open up pretty quick. Terra seems to get along with other dogs so far and was curious about the bigger dog in the lobby in the vet’s office. She is a medium sized dog at 34.8 lbs, though she could stand to gain a few pounds. Terra just got to our vet’s office where she will be spayed in the coming days and treated for an ear infection. Stay tuned for more updates as we get her all vetted and moved to a foster home!

Foster update 10/08/21: Ms.Terra is coming out of her shell! She has learned how to sit, wait and come! She has been much more confident and independent over the past few days. She would love a home with a backyard. In the morning, Terra loves to run around and explore the yard while I’m inside making coffee. She had 2 accidents when I first brought her home but none over the last few days. Terra is absolutely wonderful in the car and would do well with kids. She would also love another dog to play and hangout with. She is the best 10 month old puppy. Terra has a moderate energy level. She loves to fetch and play/chase her foster sister. But, after 15/20 minutes she js ready to snuggle on the couch.

Foster update 10/03/21: Miss Terra went into a foster home today. She has already settled in and snuggled up with me on the couch. She is skidish but the biggest love bug  Terra would do best in a home with another dog that can show her everything is ok now.
