Meet Newman
Newman is truly the sweetest, goofiest boy ever – he’s the type of best friend who is always ready to do anything whether it is playing a game of fetch, going for a car ride, or playing with his doggy friends. But, he is also perfectly content napping by your feet while you work or snuggling up with you while you watch tv or rest. Newman is approximated to be 3 years old and is a typical lab who loves food, playing outside, and his people. Newman was recently rescued from animal control, but it was evident that he had been loved deeply by someone previously. He arrived with a clean bill of health, a smile on his face, and an abundance of love to give to whoever was meant to love him forever! Newman is a confident boy, but still has a small fear that he is going to be left behind again due to his past. Because of this, he prefers to follow his people around the house wherever they go and be close at all times. But, he is a perfect gentleman when he does have to be left home alone and just sleeps and people-watches out the window without being crated. Newman currently lives with a doggy sibling who has helped show him the ropes of the house and learn his manners. He is currently working on basic obedience commands and being polite on leash, which are important since he is 90 pounds and does not always realize how big he is! Luckily, training with Newman is a breeze since he loves treats and is incredibly smart. Newman would love to have a dog sibling in his forever home to keep him company during the day and play with him, but he would also likely be content with anybody who could take him on adventures and give him all the love in the world! He needs a home without cats, as he mistakes feline friends as targets to catch. He has been great around children, but again, sometimes does not realize how big he is! Newman is looking for his forever people to give all of his love, snuggles, and joy to!
