Dock found an amazing home with no stairs and lots of friends. Happy New Beginners Dock!
UPDATE: Dock is doing great! He is in foster home and he loves every minute of it. This picture shows you how well he is doing. He is not stable around 86 pounds, healthy and ready for a permanent home. Dock is a super dog. Dock is an absolute love bug. His favorite thing to do is to lean in and get his head rubbed. He loves his foster dog brother and sister and slow walks around the park. Despite his arthritis he very much enjoys being outside and tooling around. He also has fun going to work with his foster mom and visiting the neighbors. He’s never met a stranger. His appetite knows no bounds and he gets super excited for a treat. He has all his inside manners and eager to please.
Meet Dock a super sweet lab. His story is very sad and we don’t know yet if it is over. He was turned in at 7 years old to animal control by his owner who stated that he was not eating and he did not have the money to find out what was wrong with him. During his time at animal control he has been eating well but not gaining weight (you can see how skinny he is!). We debated what to do as he may be very sick. But we could not let him sick at animal control with no hope of getting adopted. So he is now in the hands of our loving vet and we are running a bunch of tests in the hope of finding out what is wrong with him. The look you see in the picture above is him realizing there is a bag of food around the corner: the first thing he did upon arrival to our wonderful vet was to scarf down a lot of puppy food. So now we just need to wait for tests results and hope for the best. In the meantime we are taking donations to cover the cost of his tests and whatever comes next.

I am happy to donate. Only wish I could give more. Best of luck to this endearing chocolate lab and all of the labs in your care and to be in your care in the future.
Claire, believe me any small amount adds up quickly. If all the people who follow us would donate $10 we could save A LOT of dogs. Thank you for helping. Elena
Hi,
I sent a small donation to help with Dock, and would like to see if there is any update on how he’s doing? I will check back over the next couple of days. Feel free to contact me as we’ll.
Thanks,
Tamiko
Tamiko, he is doing awesome. He is in a foster home which proved to us that some of his diarrhea was stress related. He is loving the company of two other dogs and a wonderful foster mom. He is gaining weight at a perfect pace. I think his next weigh in is next week but so far he has gained almost 10 pounds. So he is doing very very well and we could not be happier. We should have updated pictures too. Are you following us on facebook? That is the easiest way to keep up with updates but I will try to keep his page more up to date for all the people who supported and helped him. Thank you so much for the support. Elena
Any updates on Dock?
He is doing awesome and will be HW treated this week. Elena
Any guess as to how old he is?
Dock is 7 years old.
Wish I could do more. Wishing Dock the best!
Donation for Dock made in honor of Deb and Anne Marie in thanks for finding our missing dog and reuniting us with him! Best wishes for a happy and healthy life for Dock!
No matter if some one searches for his required thing, therefore he/she needs being available that in detail, therefore
that thing is maintained right here.
