Happy New Beginner sweet Chaco. Enjoy your new two legged friends.
Meet Chaco, our 80 pounds of chill. He is 5 years old, super sweet. He gets along with other dogs and people. Stay posted for more pictures soon. He is very healthy except that he is heartworm positive. We will treat him soon. And incredible generous donor donated enough money to cover his treatment. Thank you!!
UPDATE FROM FOSTER MOM: Just wanted to give you an update on Chaco. He is so sweet! He is getting along well with our two dogs & cat. He has enjoyed exploring our backyard and taking in all the new smells. He’s been following me around the house & knows that I have the dog treats.
He looks like he is saying – OMG someone is finally going to take care of me
I had fun trying to get the right caption today, I’m really new to the computor age. I know that’s probably hard to beleave in this day and age.But I’m trying. Wanted to let you know I think it’s great , what you guys do for these really greatly misunderstood dogs.. I wish more people would do their homework before they get them. My firstblack lab was 8 months old when I rescued him from his kennel out in the peoples back yard. Whenhe got about 5 years old, he woke up onemorning and shook off and I swear looked at meand said , well today mom I realize I don’t have to do all that crazy stuff anymore, just enough to keep you on your toes. He was a great dog. Now I have a chocolate , Gracie -I – Lean .She was on her way to the pound when l told the woman get her to me in the next half hour and she has a hometo go to.She was 18 months old whenshe joined my family. She is now my shadow, and I love her to death. I’LL KEEP YOU GUYSINMIND WHEN EVER I need to look for another. I have a large animal family, and a very understanding husband. But right now we ddon’t have space for another anything.
Thank you for the message. Even if you dont have room for one more, we love that people follow up on FB and participate on our daily games and trouble…Elena
How is Chaco doing after his heartworm treatment? We have been watching him on line. What a handsome guy! We lost our chocolate Bailey on New Years Day following complications from his surgery. We are interested in him. I am a teacher and still have a few weeks of school to go. I would want to be at home to transition him. Would that be something that could be worked out with his foster family? We have already been approved for adoption.
Joanne, Chaco is ready for adoption. We do not hold dogs because the moment we can get a dog adopted we have room to save one more. But lets see how things go in the next few weeks. When would school be over for you? Email Erin at labfriendinfo@gmail.com to ask more details and stay in touch. Elena
Thanks. We are new to the adoption process. June 3rd is my last work day. I will e-mail Erin this am.
Great…
