Happy Gotcha Day Harvey
Harvey is one year old and was found running around all alone. He is a big boy as, skinny as he is, he is 75 pounds. He is a little shy and timid with loud noises. He is good with other dogs, and seems to be more comfortable with women more than men. He takes treats very gently and loves to play ball. He also loves to chase squirrels so he may not be good with cats. He knows sit and waits.
This makes me so very happy! I knew Harvey was something special the moment I saw him hanging out waiting for someone to “rescue” him. He thought his owners were coming back, but they weren’t. I know they loved him at some point, because he’s so well mannered and knows basic commands. He would even sit while I laid his food down for him. I wish they could know he is happy and loved again. He was with me only a week, but he quickly attached himself to me. Harvey played so well with my 20 lb foster. He knows he’s a big dog and is respectful of it. Knowing he has a precious boy to grow up with him makes my heart the happiest. It’s something I could never give him. A huge thank you to Labrador Friends of the South for taking him in and to the vet tech that fostered him and thanks to both for helping Harvey, now Harley, find his perfect home so quickly! Love my big dog. Be happy Harley.
