Happy Gotcha Day Ariel!
MEET ARIEL!! Ariel is a super sweet, super cute 2-2.5 year old black lab mix. She and her 3 babies (Angel, Max, and Daisy) were rescued from a kill shelter this past November. Max and Daisy were adopted, but Angel and Ariel are still looking for their forever homes. When Ariel first came to us, it was evident that she and her little family had all been kept outside in the past. She had several fly bites on her ears and on her face, and she was heartworm positive. With some help from our vet staff and good ol’ TLC, Ariel’s skin healed up beautifully and now you can’t even tell anything was wrong. She has completed the first part of heartworm treatment and did well. In one more month, she will be done with heartworm treatment and ready to put it behind her!
Ariel has spent the past few weeks at doggie boot camp where she worked on good socialization, doggie manners, and several commands. She appears to be housebroken and is crate trained. She is a smart girl who is eager to please and would do best with an experienced dog owner.
Ariel has settled in to her foster home and is doing well. Stay tuned for a foster update!

Foster Update 04/03/2018: Ariel is a total sweetheart! She loves people and no one is a stranger! She loves to give and get love and attention, and she’s curious about everything. She walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and likes to play with her toys. She is house and crate trained. Ariel has had a good deal of training and knows all the basic commands (sit/stay/off) as well as heel and leave it, although she is still working on “leave it” when there is a squirrel around! She is medium sized at about 40 pounds and full of personality. She’s a loving wiggly girl who will make a great companion for someone.
