Happy Gotcha Day Bailey!

MEET BAILEY!! Bailey is a beautiful 1 year old, female black lab. She ended up at the shelter after her family surrendered her. Bailey is a sweet girl with the typical labby personality. As a young dog, she has some energy and is playful but isn’t crazy. She walks well on the leash and already knows some commands. Bailey seems to get along well with other dogs and acted like she wanted to play with every dog she saw at the shelter. She would play bow at other pups and run with them along the fence separating the outdoor areas. While Bailey is outgoing and happy once she’s comfortable, she does act shy sometimes when in new situations, and she flinched a little when I moved my hand too suddenly. We’re not sure what she experienced in the past, but she will need someone who understands that she is still a puppy and understands that she will need gentle guidance to gain some confidence. She would likely do best in a home with older children, as she can get a little too excited when playing and might accidentally knock a small child over.

Bailey has the most expressive, beautiful eyes that are just asking for a chance. She is ready to find a forever home where she can have all the love she deserves.
