MEET BO!! Bo is a beautiful male chocolate lab who we estimate to be around 8-10 years old. He was just rescued from a shelter with his 2 “siblings,” Manny and Bellamy. Unfortunately their owner passed away, so their lives were turned upside down and they were understandably very confused at the shelter. Despite his age, Bo is a pretty active dog. He LOVES tennis balls and playing fetch. You’d think he was a five year old the way he jumps and runs after the ball! He likes to explore and sniff around the yard too. Bo walks relatively well on the leash, but he can get excited and pull a little bit when he first gets outside. He is a bigger boy at around 80 pounds, so he’ll need someone that can handle his size. He seems to get along fine with other dogs but didn’t really seem interested in playing with them. He’d be a great match for someone looking for an older dog who would still be happy to accompany you on walks and trips to the park. Bo is a super sweet guy who is just looking for a second chance at a place to call home. He’d love a nice, warm bed to enjoy his golden years from!
UPDATE 9/5/18!! Bo is a super fun, super handsome boy! He’s estimated to be around 9 years old, but he acts younger. He’s got a lot of muscle and is in great shape! We found out that he loves sticks almost as much as he loves tennis balls, and he’s pretty playful. When there’s no toys or balls around, Bo is a mellow guy. He appears to be kennel trained and may be housebroken, but we don’t know for sure yet. Unfortunately Bo came down with a mild case of kennel cough, so he will not be able to come to the adoption event this weekend.
