Happy Gotcha Day Chaco!
MEET CHACO. Foster Update: Chaco has great disposition and his tail never stops wagging. He seems pretty smart and understands “come” and “no”. He has one of the sweetest longest sighs I’ve ever heard making the cutest noises when dreaming. He takes treats very gently from your hand. He’s great on leash. Chaco is completely house trained.

Hi How old is Choco ? I Am a Handicapped Gentleman, with no use of my left arm or hand, and I walk with a cane….. Recently, (Last June) Lost My Baby Girl Chocolate Lab (Harlee) at the ripe ole age of 16. I Miss her every day…… Please tell me all you can about Choco I’m Very Interested I Live In Portland Tennessee, On aprox 2 acres of Property.. and he reminds me of my baby so much! Thank you!

Thank you for your interest. Chaco is around 5-6 years old.
We do adopt out of state, but the adopter must be willing to come to Atlanta to meet the dog and make sure it is a good fit. If you haven’t already, click on the Adopt button to fill out our adoption application. 🙂

Is this the same Chaco that was adopted about a year ago? My husband and I are interested in meeting Chaco. We adopted 2 seniors about 14 months ago and just recently lost our chocolate lab, Gus. We would like a companion for our senior black lab, Gracie.

It is the same Chaco. Very unfortunate family circumstances forced the family to return him.
He has an adoption appointment set up, but please fill out our adoption application and check back with us next week to see if it worked out. Your app will stay on file with us until you find the right dog for your family. 🙂

Chaco was adopted last year. His new family had to return him to LFS due to very unfortunate circumstances.
Just wanted to add that we fostered Chaco last year & he was so sweet. Very gentle around our child and got along great with our female chocolate lab & elderly Basset Hound.
