Foster update 11/01/21: Chess is easy going and well mannered he has mastered house training without any accidents, let’s us know when he needs to go out, and is crate trained and sleeps through the night in his crate without a peep! He loves to play with other dogs and his favorite toys are bones to chew on. He is loving and affectionate and would love to be a lap dog. He is good with cats and small dogs in addition to big dogs
Chess is sleeping with one eye open because he says he will only accept treats for Halloween and is worried about tricks.
Foster update 10/20/21: Chess is feeling very festive in his Halloween bandana. He now knows how to sit, is crate trained, and is house broken. He will fit in well in an active household and would make a great running or hiking companion. If neither of those is your jam he would love to play fetch, go on walks, and play at the dog park. He does well with other dogs but might be a bit much for a dog that doesn’t like to play. Chess does everything big. He seems to have a real “go big or go home” attitude and loves life. He also LOVES people and is so affectionate. He is happiest with his people and dog friends. Chess is not at all aggressive but he can be a bit enthusiastic so he might do best in a home without small children because he might accidentally knock a tyke over trying to play or trying to give them a hug. He loves to give hugs.
Foster update 10/06/21: MR Chess is adjusting nicely to being in A foster home. He is a very relaxed dog who enjoys being around people and enjoys the company of other dogs. He is gentle with small dogs and is looking forward to when he can ditch his “cone of shame” in 4 days.
