Happy Gotcha Day Davi!
Meet DAVENPORT!! Davenport, or Davi for short, is a beautiful 3-4 year old black lab. Her story is a sad one. Poor Davenport was left to fend for herself outside when her owners moved. Now Davi is in rescue and learning to know love again. She is the sweetest dog ever!! Everyone at the vet’s office is smitten with her. She has such a calm demeanor and seems to be very well behaved. She does seem to take a few minutes to learn to trust new people, as she is understandably scared and unsure of her surroundings at the moment, but once she knows you are of no harm, she opens up to you and lets her loving nature shine through. Davenport has not a care in the world about other dogs, and she seems to be content to just hang out in the room with you. Cuddling is her strong suit. She also has the softest, shiniest black fur.
Unfortunately Davi is heartworm positive and will be starting treatment. She will need to go to a foster where she can stay calm for the remainder of her treatment, which shouldn’t be too much of a problem given her temperament.
