Meet Dixie
Dixie just arrived to LFS! Our vet has checked her over this morning and it’s seems that it’s been awhile since she has seen a vet. She has a couple minor infections, some potential allergies and looks to have a little pain with her knees that we will be treating. She will also be starting her diet today as shes about 40 pounds over weight More to come on this beautiful girl!

Foster Update: This sweet girl is such a gentle giant! She’s incredibly loving and totally a Velcro pup—she always wants to be wherever her people are!
Foster Update: Dixie is the sweetest and goofiest gentle giant! She took over my bed and looked at me as if I was crazy when I told her to move. But it is hard to say no to those eyes!
Update: Dixie is a goofy girl who loves attention. She never meets a stranger dog or human. She is loving being a social butterfly at doggy daycare. She is doing well with her weight loss journey and has started her medicated bath routine to help soothe her skin along with her special food and medicine which is making a huge improvement. Her ear hematoma was a pretty bad one, so she still has her sutures in, but has been cleared to play with friends until the sutures come out.
