MEET DUNN!! Dunn is an incredibly handsome, male chocolate lab who was just rescued from the shelter. Our vet estimates him to be around 9-10 years old. Dunn is super sweet and ready to find a forever home where he can live the life he deserves. Even though he looks older, Dunn is very active and has a good bit of energy. He is in great shape and acts like a younger dog. He is a little bit on the thinner side so we will work on getting him up to a good weight. We think Dunn would make a great companion for an active family or single person looking for a more mature dog (who is past the crazy puppy stage).
Foster Update 11/07/2017: We’ve had Dunn for about a week now and he’s a sweet boy! His age is estimated to be around 9 years old, but he has the energy level of a much younger dog. He loves fetch and playing, even with our children. He and our dog get along well and Dunn is very well behaved with our young ( 3y/o and 1 y/o) children. He takes treats incredibly gently from anyone who offers.
He’s quite food motivated, which has led to a few “counter surfing” escapades, but we’re working on that and he seems eager to please. He walks very well on leash even with our dog right beside him. Dunn gets excited when he sees another dog but doesn’t pull. He’s fairly tall, but his size hasn’t been an issue as he is a gentle and fairly relaxed dog. He doesn’t seem to shed as much as our lab and he hasn’t barked at all.
We think Dunn would be a good fit for just about anyone: a family with or without children or a single person, because he clearly just wants love and a little attention.
