Meet EASTWOOD! This funny little guy is a 7 year old beagle. We know, we know, he’s not a Lab, but he blends in with his Labrador foster brothers and sisters with ease! Eastwood was rescued from a complicated divorce situation by one of our volunteers, so that’s how he came to be with LFS. When he first came to us, Eastwood had very bad teeth, so the veterinarian had to perform a dental and unfortunately many of Eastwood’s teeth had to be pulled. He can still eat food normally, but it just takes him a little longer to chew everything up.
Eastwood is a wonderful dog who is very well behaved. He does not chew anything up that he’s not supposed to and he is housebroken with or without access to a dog door. He loves to play with his foster siblings, especially his foster sister Toddy, and he even loves to play with dog toys. Eastwood does not bark very much. He is content to snuggle on the couch most of the time. He would be the perfect companion for someone who wants an easy, laid back dog.
Is Eastwood good with children ages 5 – 10? Does he play fetch?
HI Penny,
let me check on that for you.
Thank you so much for your interest and please fill out our adoption application if you have not already.
Thanks,
Christie
Penny, Eastwood is great with kids! He loves toys but is not playing fetch right now due to resting after his heart worm treatment. He is a great little guy.
Let us know if you have any other questions,
Christie
Hi,
Eastwood is adorable. Is he still available? And how do you think he would do with a cat? We also have a 9 year old son but I read in the comments that he’s great with kids.
Will he be at the Adoption Clinic on August 15th?
Hi Connelly,
Eastwood is great with kids, but we are not sure how he is around cats. He still has to go through hw treatment so unfortunately he will not be at adoption day.
Thank you so much for your interest!
Kristin
How much does Eastwood weigh? It would be nice to have a dog that I could pick up if need be. Most of the labs are way to heavy for that.
We filled out an application earlier this year. How long do you keep them on file?
Hi Penny,
Eastwood weighs about 25 pounds, so you would be able to pick him up.
As far as the application, if you applied over 6 months ago we do ask that you fill out another one but you will not have to pay another fee.
Let us know if you have anymore questions!
