Happy Gotcha Day Josie!
MEET JOSIE!! Josie, a super sweet black lab mix, was adopted from us as a puppy 9 years ago, but sadly her owners can no longer keep her due to unforeseen health issues. Josie is now 9 years old and understandably very confused. She was so sad at the vet’s office without her family, it just broke our hearts. We moved her to a foster home where she has already started to come out of her shell a little bit, and it’s just been so good to see. Josie’s previous owners reported that she knows several commands: sit, stay, lay, come, and shake. She is crate trained and house trained and does not bark excessively. Josie does well with other dogs and seemingly ignores cats. She is very good with children and had been around small kids and babies many times in her life. Josie is a cuddler and slept peacefully with her two foster parents the entire first night she was with them. She also rides well in the car, even during a 2 hour holiday trip. She’s a small girl at 42 pounds.
Josie would be the perfect addition to any family looking for a mature, well mannered dog who is past that chewing puppy stage. She may be considered a senior and have a little grey on her face, but she’s got plenty of life left to live and lots of love left to shower you with!
