Meet LAURA! Laura is 2 years old, super sweet and wiggly! She is 55 lbs, spayed and fully vaccinated. Unfortunately, Laura is heartworm positive, but she will be treated in the coming days. Stay tuned as we learn more about this pretty girl!
FOSTER UPDATE: Laura is a super super dog. She is very low key in the house but she loves to go on a walk (still short for now). She is housebroken and well mannered in the house as long as treats are out of reach! She gets along great with other dogs and she is learning quickly from her foster sister. She adores me and follows me everywhere without being overly clingy. She loves to just lie next to me while I work. While I do not have kids she did well at adoption day when kids came up to her. She does not know how to play with toys but she gets super wiggly and happy if I play with her. She rides very well in the car. She is a very smart girl: while she was clearly not taught much in her previous life she is learning very quickly. She is recovering very well from her treatment and every day she is a little happier (except that when the camera is out she gets all serious). She is also a great guard dog, barking just the right amount, enough to tell me if someone is at the door but not barking for no reasons. She really is a great easy dog…. additional bonus, she is very soft!
I was wondering if laura gets along with cats? and do you adopt out of state?
Edna, yes we adopt out of state but only as long as you are willing to drive to us with your family and other dogs to pick her up. I am her foster mom and I do not have any cats but she is not the fastest dog so she may be fine with cats. Whether a dog is good with cat depends more on how dog savvy the cat is (i.e. not running in front of the dog)…. If you are still interested please get approved for adoption. Elena
