MEET LOBO! This sweet 1-2 year old boy is heartworm positive so will be undergoing treatment in the coming days/weeks. If you’d like to donate to his are, check out www.labradorfriends.com/donate
FOSTER UPDATE: He’s starting to get a little more lively. He likes to go outside for brief walks to take care of his business versus going in the fenced back yard with my dog and me. He’s good on the leash so far (we really only walk down the street three houses in either direction). He’s doesn’t seem to be phased by the usual outdoor stimulation (squirrels, birds, other dogs, people). He’s really calm and polite to anyone/anything he meets (so odd since my dog is a maniac). At 50ish pounds he’s a little light. I can see his ribs so we’re eating a grain free duck formula food from Fromm. He loves it. He’s housetrained and signals at night if he needs to go out. He is 100% crate trained and goes in quietly and easily. I haven’t seen a lot of interest in toys, tennis balls or my dog. He likes to follow me in every room and usually lays where I can see him. He sleeps in the bathroom at night on the tile floor and stays in the crate during the day when I go into my office. All in all he’s a very sweet and loving dog who really doesn’t require the stimulus of another dog or multiple toys. He’s happy being near me and getting an occasional bully stick.
