Happy Gotcha Day Lucid!
Meet Lucid. A family reached out after watching someone dump 7 puppies in a park last week All have found new homes except three. The family that found them reached out for our help with the 3 remaining pups! Lucid (male) is estimated to be between 10-12 weeks old. He has been around kids and other dogs and has done great! He appears to be a lab/hound mix.Lucid needs a foster home .

Foster Update: Lucid has been enjoying daycare with LFS Alumni Angus (from the Bunny litter). Lucid is 12 weeks old and still looking for his forever family!
Update: Lucid arrived to the trainer very nervous and insecure. We realized the previous resource guarding over those who cuddling him was fear based which made him reactive towards other dogs. In addition to training, lucid has been going to daycare and other social interactions, inside house with other dogs as well as outside in the yards with other dogs. He is adapting very well and plays well with others with no reacting or nipping/growling. He has give appropriate corrections if the situation warranted.
From a training perspective he is shy and nervous but is very smart and very food motivated. He has learned quickly and knows basic commands, sit, down, place and has leash manners.
Lucid will need a patient owner and someone who has assertive energy and leadership, not someone to coddle or baby him, e.g., he cannot be carried everywhere as this will reinforce his nervousness.
Update: Lucid getting in some last minute snuggles before heading off to our trainer. Our vet suspects that Lucid was the runt of the litter and has had to fight for food and was being picked on by his siblings Therefore, he is now very protective of his self, his food and just a very nervous little guy. Our trainer will be working on building this guys confidence and getting a jump start on his basic training!
