Happy Gotcha Day Lucy!
Met LUCY! She is 1.5 year old. She came to us from rural Alabama. Lucy is very high energy and she needs a home willing to channel her energy in the right direction. Lucy LOVES to play with other dogs, usually past the point the average dog is willing to play. Unfortunately is also very insistent to the point that a shy dog will be put off by her insistence. The ideal companion for Lucy is a high energy dog who loves to play a little rough so that they can wear each other out. Lucy would also be fine as an only dog with a very active owner who loves to run or hike. Lucy will also be happy in a home with kids who wants to play fetch in the backyard with her. Lucy has a high prey drive so she tend to chase cats and small dogs so we would not recommend her in a home with small dogs. Lucy is now in a foster home working on her training to learn some self control and will do well in a home that can set some boundaries and a routine for her so she can keep up her training.

She is available! Lucy loves to play, but would probably do best with larger dogs.
She kinda just runs over smaller dogs when she is excited! 😉

Thanks very much, we already completed the application/fee and are just waiting to hear back. Our other dog is large (~70lbs weimaraner/lab mix) so don’t think she will be running over him :). Would love to speak with someone about her this week. Thanks!
