Happy Gotcha Day Molly!
MEET MOLLY! Molly is the newest member of the LFS family. Molly was found in a rough, rural area of south Georgia. She was seen on the side of a road and it took several days for the rescuers to gain her trust. They were finally able to catch and take her in. She was very thin, skiddish and had a hurt back leg when she was caught. A good samaritan took her in to foster until a rescue group could be found. She arrived in Atlanta yesterday and is at our vet. Molly is a beautiful young black lab. Our veterinarian believes she is about 1 yo. Her black coat is very soft and shiny. She definitely needs to gain some weight. Her foster mom, from South Georgia, wrote, ” She is great with other dogs and children. She is a sweetie! I crated her in the same room with my older lab.”
Molly rode well in the car yesterday on her way to the vet. All she really wanted was for someone to pat her the whole trip.Molly was spayed today and received her vaccinations. Unfortunately, Molly is Heartworm positive and will be treated by LFS.Sweet Molly will be ready for a foster or a forever home in a day or so. Please consider Molly if you are looking for a sweet, beautiful lab to add to your family..
Stay posted for pictures and updates as we get to know Molly better.
Possibly interested in adopting Molly. However, I already own a Labrador, and I’m wondering if their temperaments will match. He is 7 going on 8, but he doesn’t think he’s older than 6 months. Extremely playful and loving however he’s not neutered, but she is so that wouldn’t be a problem. I have some questions about her: my Jackson has never used or needed to be out on he is leash trained and he has never really run off. I’m asking because I am in a wheelchair and I’m wondering if she has the tendency of running off when not on a leash? I guess that’s my biggest concern, but it’s a deal breaker. I’m sure other than that they would get along fine because my dog is very friendly to other dogs but especially females and loves the playful ones.
Hi Tim, you must be pre-approved by LFS to adopt. One of our requirements is that all dogs be neutered/spayed. Since Jackson is not, you would not be approved to adopt.

Thank you.
Is Molly still available
Hi Andrea, Molly is still available, If you are interested in adopting her, please visit labradorfriends.com/how-to-adopt or email labfriendinfo@gmail.com.
We have a cat and 6 month old baby in our household. Do you think Molly would be okay in that type of environment?
Molly is young and active. She requires attention and exercise. I am not sure how she would react to a baby. She does get along well with older children.
