Happy Gotcha Day Onyx!

MEET ONYX!!! Onyx is a pretty 7 month old girl. She is your typical fun and sassy labby puppy with lots of energy and a sweet disposition. This picture doesn’t do her justice – she such a pretty girl – but black dogs don’t necessarily photograph as well, and she was a little busy-body that it was hard to catch her while she was still. 🙂 Onyx is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations, so she’s ready for her forever home. Foster Update 11/16/2016: Onyx is learning the ropes in her foster home. She has a lot of energy and would do best with an active family that can give her plenty of exercise. Onyx doesn’t realize that she’s a “big dog”, which is hysterical. She’s only around 50 pounds or so, but she wants to be a lap dog. Her foster mom says Onyx is a bit of a counter surfer, but they are working on it. For now, you just need to must make sure all food is out of her reach. As she is still a puppy, Onyx still loves to chew, so she needs plenty of chew toys to keep her from getting into mischief. She has improved with the crate; while she used to not want to go in it at all, now she can be crated for a few hours without any issues. At night, Onyx loves to jump up in bed with you and stay next to you all night snoring away. She would really enjoy being adopted by a family that will allow her to sleep in the bed, as she is a cuddle bug. Onyx loves children, other dogs, and even cats.
