Happy Gotcha Day Piper & Cam!!
INTRODUCING PIPER AND CAMERON!! These two adorable pups were just rescued from a high kill shelter. They are super sweet and a really pretty red color. Piper and Cameron are around 4 months old. They came to us a little malnourished so we are working on getting both to healthy weight. Their appetites are great so we don’t think it’ll take long! Both pups were well behaved during their transport to the vet’s office; they just wanted to cuddle together and with their transporters the whole time.
Piper and Cam have moved to their foster home and are doing well. They have started potty training and figuring out what it means to live in a home. They are bonded so they need to be adopted together.

FOSTER UPDATE 07/10: Life is going well for the “twins” as we like to call them. They have recovered nicely from their spay/neuter surgeries a couple weeks ago. I know they were thrilled to finally be done with the dreaded plastic cones. They thoroughly enjoyed celebrating their first 4th of July. Much to my delight, they didn’t even mind being dressed up and posing for a mini photo shoot one bit! Cam in that tie makes me laugh every time I think about it. He looks like such a little gentleman. They are of course still joined at the hip and can often be found curled up together napping… the closer they can get to each other the better! These two sweethearts have brought so much joy into our lives and we know it’s only a matter of time before they steal the hearts of one lucky family! They are certainly looking forward to giving lots of kisses this Saturday at the adoption event.
FOSTER UPDATE 06/14: Wanted to share some recent pictures of Cam and Piper. They have really grown in the last couple weeks but are still as cute as can be… and total sweethearts! They recently experienced the “doggie beach” at the Chattahoochee for the first time. Although understandably timid in the beginning, it didn’t take long for them to realize how much fun splashing around in the water can be! These two are always up for an adventure and enjoy being the center of attention wherever they go. Piper has even started coming out of her shell a little more when she meets new people. They are great walking companions and would be perfect additions to an active household. As you can see by Piper’s cute demonstration in one of the photos, they have mastered sit and shake. Still working on potty training but for the most part they have done really well. They are obviously still puppies so just requires a little patience but they’ll get there. Hoping they meet the perfect forever family on Saturday. They so deserve it!
FOSTER UPDATE – CAM & PIPER!!! 05/23: Cam and Piper (black muzzle) are doing so well now that they are back together! Here’s what their fosters had to say –
It has been a wonderful reunion for Cam and Piper the last couple weeks! They go full speed when it’s play time but crash hard when nap time rolls around. When it gets quiet during the day, they can usually be found curled up together in the same bed. They are both super sweet puppies, but they have quite different personalities. Cam has never met a stranger, but Piper is more cautious and needs some extra time to warm up to new people. She really seems to take her cues from Cam and tends get a little anxious when he’s not around. While these two cuties are basically “joined at the hip”, they also get along great with their foster sister and other dogs in the neighborhood.
Although they haven’t mastered it yet, they have both come a long way with potty training! Lately, they haven’t whined to go out in the middle of the night and accidents in their crates are pretty rare so they are definitely making progress!
Their appetites are very healthy to say the least, which has come in handy when working on basic commands. They pretty much have “sit” nailed so we’ll move to “shake” next. Considering how eager to please they are, it shouldn’t be too difficult of a task.
Cam and Piper are very bonded, therefore they must be adopted together.
