Happy Gotcha Day Tex
Meet Tex. We called him Tex because the white spot on his chest looks like Texas. Tex is around 9-10 months. He was turned in to animal control sick with Parvo. He was put in isolation and treated and he survived. But he could still not be put with all the other dogs and he was quickly running out of time… there was no way we would let a dog survive Parvo only to be euthanized.. so LFS to the rescue! He is now in a foster home where he is doing very well. Tex comes with the extra advantage of being immune to Parvo at this point. He is a fun, affectionate puppy. He LOVES to play fetch, does well with his foster sister and he even walks well on leash. He is the ideal dog for an active family looking for a fun young dog.
How does Tex do riding in a vehicle? Is he still working on being house trained or is he already. I assume he is neutered. What is his current weight and what is his estimated weight?
Tex does very well in the car. Yes he is still working on house training but he is learning fast. We crate our dogs so he is learning quickly as he does not mind the crate. I have to check on the weight. He is not neutered yet but he will be in about one week and he will be neutered before adoption (he has a small cough, typical for shelter dogs so we are waiting for that to go away before putting him under anesthesia). I also need to check on his estimated size.
Kevin, I found the information on the weight. He is currently 43 pounds but probably his ideal weight is 47. He is one year old. He tall, lean and athletic so I dont think he will be much more than 55-60 pounds once he fills in completely. Elena
