Happy Gotcha Day Adam!

MEET ADAM!! Adam is the newest addition to LFS. He is a beautiful chocolate boy who is around 2 years old. Adam seems to have not had the best start on life. We found out he is HW positive, so he will begin treatment in the coming days. Adam could use a refresher course in leash training. Hopefully we will be able to get him into a foster home soon where he can learn proper leash etiquette and learn what it means to live in a home. He is a sweet boy who just wants a chance to become your family’s new best friend. Keep checking back for updates as we learn more about this handsome guy!

Update 01/06/2017:
Adam got to go to a temporary foster’s house before the holidays for a few days. Here’s an update on this handsome guy!
What an AMAZING dog. We are not in a position to adopt right now or I would have sent in the application within the hour we brought him home. When Adam comes to adoption events, he gets so overwhelmed with excitement and all the sights and smells that he comes off as though he’s a handful, but at home he is a completely different dog. He doesn‘t get into anything, doesn’t jump up on anything in the house, and he is house trained (as well as crate trained). Adam is definitely still young and high energy, but after he has a chance to get some energy out, he will settle down and lay down by you. He likes to play with his toys and lay on his bed with one. He would probably do best in a home with a fenced in yard to play and run around in. Adam loves going on walks! We’re not sure that Adam had spent much time inside a home with hardwood floors; when Adam first got to the house, he was terrified of the hardwood but slowly started to get used to it. Adam loves attention and enjoys getting some loving from everyone. We think he would do best in a home with older children, simply because he sometimes gets so excited that he jumps up and might knock a small child over on accident. We are working on his jumping up on people and he is getting much better. He would make a great companion for someone who had a little time to give him the exercise he needs and show him the love that craves. He also loves cuddling with his pink bunny as you can see in the pictures. Whoever ends up adopting him will be hitting the jackpot!

Adam is about 2 years old and is still looking for a foster or forever home. He is doing well with his heartworm treatment but he would really love to get out of boarding. If you are interested in Adam, please visit labradorfriends.com/how-to-adopt or email labfriendinfo@gmail.com.
