Happy Gotcha Day Sandy!

Meet SANDY (Apache)!! Apache is approximately 2 years old and is a super sweet boy whom we recently pulled from a local shelter. He’s a bit aloof right now but after some time in his foster home we’re confident he’ll come out of his shell. He’s also a bit thin, so we’ll be working on adding some weight. As he settles into his foster home and we learn more about we’ll post updates, so stay tuned!

Foster update 05/18: Apache is doing great.  On Saturday he was overwhelmed and quiet.  He stayed in the kitchen by himself, but by Sunday night he had taken over Thurman’s bed and started trying to play with the boys.  He knows none of the basic commands, but is very food-motivated and will be easy to train.  He’s learned to come when I call him in from the yard.  He wouldn’t give me the time of day on Saturday.  His appetite is good and he’s eating.  He’s so thin!  He got a really good temperament.  I think he’d be good with kids, too.
