Happy Gotcha Day Arnold!

MEET ARNOLD!! This handsome older gentleman is one of the newest members of LFS. Arnold is estimated to be about 12 years old. The shelter was no place for a sweet senior like Arnold, so LFS was contacted to help give him a second chance. Arnold is an all around awesome dog. He is kind, gentle, and pretty easy going. He appears to do well with other dogs and loves people. Arnold does have a bit of arthritis like many older dogs but we have started him on some supplements to help him with that. He also had a couple of masses that we took off and are awaiting results of. Despite his age, Arnold’s bloodwork looked fantastic so great news! Overall he is a wonderful boy who deserves a loving home in his golden years. Will you be his knight in shining armor?

Foster update 06/05/20: “Well, it has been about a week since I got my stitches out from having a mass removed and got to my foster home. My name has been shortened to Arnie cause I am too much fun to be formal Arnold. Anyway, I love it here.  I have friends- little dog friends, big dog friends and cat friends. I even go for short walks with my cat friends as my body starts to feel better. I walk really well on a leash without pulling or tugging.
There are lots of toys here that I love to play with but I am really good with a tennis ball. If you toss it gently, I will go get it and nudge it back to you. I make sure you don’t even have to leave  your chair. My foster mom has taught me use a doggie door and  I love my fenced in yard so I can walk and keep my legs strong. I can do stairs if they are carpeted but my mom has to stay behind me on slippery wood stairs.
My foster mom works a lot so she told me I couldn’t stay forever. I sleep through the night and dream of a forever home with a 4-legged friend, some toys, a family who will take me for short walks, throw the ball gently for me, give me a cushy bed next to theirs (cause good boys like me don’t get on furniture) and spend lots of time with me. My special treat is to be gently brushed and finish with a doggie treat. Do you think you could be my dream come true?
