Happy Gotcha Day Bear!
MEET BEAR!! Bear is an adorable 1.5 year old lab mix who looking for his forever home! He has been with us for several months now, and we just don’t understand why he hasn’t been scooped up yet! Bear is a smaller guy at 50 pounds. He is a smart pup who has learned many commands and manners from his foster family. He has super soft fur and loves to be petted. Bear has a wonderful personality and is super fun to watch. He bounces around the yard with such joy, you can’t help but to smile looking at him! He loves other dogs and just wants to play.

FOSTER UPDATE!! Bear is around 50 lbs now– a nice size pup. He is one of the goofiest dogs you will meet and has an adorable “gallop” when running around in the dog park. He loves to tease his foster fur-sister with toys in an attempt to get her to chase him. He is a quick learner and has mastered sit, shake, and lay down. Bear is fully house broken and crate trained. He does not mind being crated but we’ve also found he does just fine not being crated when we go out. He is great with kids and other dogs. A proper introduction to new dogs is best as Bear is super friendly and can get overly excited to meet them. He is very curious when it comes to cats but doesn’t really bother them. Long walks at the park are his favorite but he’s also content to hang out with us and just be lazy.

FOSTER UPDATE 9/13/18!! We cannot believe sweet Bear has not found his forever family yet!  He is such a lovable, fun dog that is so deserving of a great home.  He’s seen multiple foster buddies find their happily ever after and it’s definitely his turn now. We know we sound like a broken record here, but we’ll say it again… he truly is one of the happiest dogs you’ll ever meet! He makes us laugh all the time with his antics and goofy personality.  For example, he borrowed the “please pick up after your pet” sign in the neighborhood dog park yesterday and proceeded to prance around with it like he was just so darn proud of himself (see picture).  He loves doing anything outside, especially playing tug or chasing balls.  Check out this precious video of him playing with little Mango.  He will gladly go full speed when playing with dogs his own size but you can see here that he is a true Southern gentleman at heart by choosing to go at her speed.  Isn’t he the sweetest?  While it’s not mandatory, we think Bear would be happiest in a home with another dog (or dogs) just because he loves the companionship so much.  He is an active boy but on the other hand, he is very content to chill out and be a couch potato with us from time to time.  Did we mention he’s totally housebroken and is such a good boy when we go out?  Speaking of going out, he loves to ride in the car with his head out the window and ears flapping in the wind.  It doesn’t take much to make him happy and we’ll let you in on a not-so-secret secret- if you rub his belly, he’ll be your best friend for life  We promise if you open your home to Bear, you won’t regret it!  It will likely only take about 1.2 seconds for him to steal your heart like he has ours!
