She lived up to her name in both appearance and personality. Beauty was so stunning, and the sweetest dog I have ever known. I never once heard her bark. Unlike most Labs, she was not obsessed with food. She would go outside to do her business and wander around the yard for a few minutes. When she came back inside she would stop by my desk for a few scratches behind the ears, then return to her favorite spot. The pictures show her in her natural habitat.  Beauty loved to curl up on a blanket or a dog bed. As long as there was a soft, warm place to rest she was totally at peace. She would sleep most of the day. She had an almost regal bearing, as if she was above the chaos that sometimes erupts in a house full of dogs. The others could wrestle over toys and treats, Beauty was going to take a nap. She lost a toe to cancer, but she never complained.  I loved watching her sleep, so quiet and content. Her life with me was far too short, just over three years. I am grateful for ever day we had together.  Goodbye Beauty, you were the best.
