Happy Gotcha Day Benny!

MEET BENNY!! Benny is an adorable 5 month old male black lab mix who just came to LFS! Benny didn’t have the greatest start to life, but he’s definitely ready to put that in the past. Benny sadly came down with parvo while in a shelter, but he fought his hardest to pull through and now he’s feeling great! He is healthy and ready to start a new life! Benny is a super cute, happy go-lucky guy. He is a smaller pup and will probably only reach around 45-50 pounds when full grown–a perfect size for anyone looking for a smaller lab! Benny loves other dogs and has had a blast playing with his doggie foster siblings. He’s a super sweet, smart boy who has already learned how to use the dog door at his foster home. Potty training is a work in progress, but he’s learning! Benny is a great little pup all around. Won’t you consider being his forever?

FOSTER UPDATE 10/13/2018!! Benny is a super fun pup, now around 6 months old. He has been doing great in his foster home and is learning all about the good life! Benny has mastered “sit” and is working on other commands. He walks well on the leash and is housebroken with a dog door. He is also crate trained. Benny loves other dogs and loves to play. He likes toys and will gladly play with you, but he can keep himself busy with his toys too. He likes to take them outside and hang out with his “stash” in the yard, silly boy! Benny LOVES to cuddle and give kisses. While he’s active like a young dog should be, he also makes a great couch potato and will gladly cuddle while you watch a movie. Benny is on the smaller side at around 45 pounds and won’t get much bigger—he’d be perfect for someone looking for a smaller lab mix or someone who maybe lives in an apartment. He’s not much of a barker according to his foster mom!
