Happy Gotcha Day Cookie!

MEET COOKIE!! This adorable yellow lab mix is one of the newest members of LFS. She is approximately 7-8 months old and was rescued from the shelter after being surrendered with her sister, Heaven, because her owners were moving. They do not appear to be bonded. Cookie is an energetic, happy-go lucky girl who loves everyone she meets. She is a bit more outgoing than Heaven and is a pretty go-with-the-flow type of dog. She jumped right into the backseat of the car for her transport from the shelter and quickly settled down for a nap. Cookie used to live with children ages 5-13, so she is good with kids, however she gets very excited sometimes and could possibly accidentally knock over a very small child. Cookie weighs 64 pounds currently, though her ideal weight is closer to 60 pounds. Cookie appears to be crate trained and was reported by her previous owner to be housetrained, though we have not yet placed her in a foster home to be able to confirm. Like a typical lab puppy, Cookie is a chewer and especially likes to chew on socks, so she will need to go to a home where she can be supervised to ensure she does not ingest something she’s not supposed to. Cookie appears to be good with other dogs. She could use a refresher course in basic obedience and leash walking, but I am sure she will be a quick learner. Cookie would make a great addition to an active family!
