Happy Gotcha Day, Cowboy!!
Update on Cowboy – just back from a weekend in the mountains, Cowboy has come a long way towards being the perfect family dog. He’s learning to walk on a leash and run with the big dogs. Definitely will do well with other dogs in the house and kids. Very friendly and playful puppy – loves being close to the action in the house, even if it’s just to sleep on the floor beside you while you work.

Meet Cowboy, the new addition to LFS. He is not yet as brave as a cowboy but he will soon be. Cowboy clearly did not have an easy start in life so he is a little shy and scared but in a few days he has already come out of his shell and he is turning into a fun and sweet puppy. Cowboy is looking for a loving home that give him so much love to compensate for the love he did not have up to this point. Stay posted for more pictures and more updates.  COWBOY is a young yellow male who is very curious about the world. He gets along great with older dogs to whom he looks up to and learns from quickly. He is just adorable with his two different ear styles (folded vs. flopped). He was found under a house and he is still a bit timid, but loves to be held and petted, especially in the evening as we watch TV. He is exceptionally calm for a young dog and very well mannered too. He sleeps through the night in his kennel and hasn’t had any accidents in the house. However, he doesn’t understand how to walk on a leash yet, but not because he pulls like most dogs. He simply sits and lays down when we put him on a leash, so we end up carrying him like a baby. Overall he is an exceptionally low maintenance dog who requires little supervision and who doesn’t get into trouble. He is also great with kids, although he may prefer to watch them play from a distance rather than jumping in to play with them, but that is likely to change as he warms up to his new family.
