Happy Gotcha Day Henry & Rambo!

MEET HENRY!!! Henry is a 10-12 month old sweet little chocolate lab mix who we recently pulled from a local shelter. He has non-contagious demodex right now, but with meds and some time he’ll be as good as new!! Henry is currently in a foster home with other dogs and is doing well. He is on the smaller side at approximately 50lbs and we don’t think he’ll get much bigger. Henry has a fun, silly personality and would make a great addition to any family. If you are interested in adopting Henry, please complete an adoption application at https://www.labradorfriends.com/how-to-adopt/, or email labfriendinfo@gmail.com if you would like additional information about Henry.

Foster Update 03/07/18: Henry is about as loveable as they come. He is on the smaller side at roughly 40 pounds and is about 8 to 12 months old. He loves playing with his foster sister and Bear (our other LFS foster). Like any puppy, he has a good amount of energy but he will still snuggle up and relax with you in a heartbeat. He has almost completely recovered from the Demodex and his chocolate coat is gorgeous.  The patches of white on his chest and tips of his feet are adorable.  This cute guy is crate trained and has been around a cat without any issue.  He has mastered “sit” and we are working on “shake”.  He does fine on a leash but tends to pull a bit so we are working on that as well.

FOSTER UPDATE–HENRY!! “Henry has been with us just shy of two weeks. Most of this time he has been on restricted activity as he was healing from his neuter surgery. Luckily he is crate-trained. Yesterday he got the “all clear” and is now allowed to run and play in the yard. Henry’s skin looks much better than it did when he first came in, and his fur is slowly filling in. His coat is going to be a beautiful color when it grows in.

Henry is very loving and thrives on attention. We’ve been working on “sit” and walking properly on the leash consistently. He rides beautifully in the car. Henry is now 42 lbs and approximately 8-12 months old. He’s an energetic sweet pup that just wants to be next to you, preferably touching you, and be loved on.”

Henry has a non-contagious form of mange, called Demodex. He is doing great with treatment and his hair is growing back really well! Soon he will have all his fur back and will be a super handsome boy!
