Happy Gotcha Day Mishka!

MEET MISHKA!! Mishka is a beautiful yellow lab/husky mix, about a year old. She was just rescued from a kill shelter and is getting settled with LFS. Mishka is a sweet girl with typical young dog energy. She seems to get along well with other dogs, and she loves people. Mishka will need some obedience training, as it doesn’t seem anyone has really worked with her on that yet. She does jump up when she gets excited and acts like she’s trying to hug you, so we’re working on discouraging that behavior. Mishka just got to us and is getting spayed and up to date on her vaccines this week, so we’re still learning about her and her personality. She’ll be ready to find a foster or forever home after Thanksgiving. If you can foster Mishka, please go to https://www.labradorfriends.com/foster-2/ to fill out a foster application, or email us at labfriendinfo@gmail.com!

Foster update 12/03/2018: Mishka is a sweet, wiggly bundle of love! She’s about 40 lbs. but needs to put on few (we are working on that!) Her beautiful fur is silky soft and ranges from cream to a light golden brown, and her pretty eyes one blue one brown are quite the attention getter! She appears to be completely house trained—zero accidents in four days. She loves to play with toys and chew on nylabones and antlers and has not chewed on anything else in the house. She is about a year old with typical young dog energy and does need some obedience training, but she’s really food motivated which makes that easier. She seems to know sit, and we’re working on down and stay with some success so far. Mishka loves people and loves to get petting from everyone, and she’s been friendly with all the dogs we’ve seen so far. While she can use a little work at it, she’s pretty good on a leash only pulling when she sees other animals, but she really doesn’t pull too hard and is getting better every day. She will bring lots of love and laughter to her new family.
