He is heartworm positive, so he needs a quiet home to recover in as he starts his heartworm treatment. * Paxton is in the middle of his HW treatment so he needs to be adopted by local (Atlanta) families to be able to finish treatment with the same vet.
Foster update 03/28/21: The best way to describe Paxton is gentle giant. He’s very sweet and mellow. Clearly just happy to be somewhere that he’s wanted. He pretty much just follows us around the house all day. He loves chew toys and comfy spots around the house to curl up. While he is a large dog, he’s not hyper or rambunctious, so he’s great in the house. He’s also potty trained and crate trained. He really enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and does very well on a leash! I almost forgot how nice it is to walk a dog that isn’t a puller . I haven’t heard him bark yet so he’s a pretty quiet dog. Honestly, he’s just an all around good boy that deserves a loving forever home. Let’s find him one!!
