Foster update 03/23/21: We’ve been fostering Phyllis for a week now and she’s such a sweetheart! It took a few days for her to get comfortable with her new surroundings but she’s really bonded with us, and especially with her foster siblings. Her routine is breakfast (she’s a very enthusiastic eater), playtime and wrestling with the other dogs, naps in the sun, squirrel watching, dinner and snuggling on the couch. She eats and sleeps in her crate with no problem, although she occasionally protests at first. At 29 pounds, she is the largest pup in the litter but she’s going to stay on the petite side. She knows to go potty outside and always has a dry crate but will still occasionally have an accident if we aren’t paying attention. She isn’t a jumper and hasn’t been destructive – unusual for a puppy! We’ll start daycare this week to give her more exposure to other dogs and people. Phyllis is an “old soul” who would do well in a home with another friendly dog, although she’d probably be fine as an only dog if she was able to spend lots of time with her human family.

Foster update 03/16/2021: Phyllis is a sweet girl who has been in a foster home for a couple days now. She was a little shy at first, but she’s warmed up now and has a waggy tail. She’s smart and figured out the routine of the house and her foster siblings quickly. She sleeps in a crate at night and understands that she should go potty outside. For a young pup, she seems pretty chill; she’ll play with the other dogs but she settles down easily. I think she’d be fine with or without other dogs. She’s a cutie!
